Key Initiatives

Night-Time Economy Information Pack

In July 2023, ENTEG launched a comprehensive  support pack for evening economy businesses. It includes:

Contact details for support services
Guidance on safety campaigns (e.g. Ask for Angela, drink spiking prevention)
Licensing and operational advice
Resources for staff training and public engagement

Catastrophic Bleed Packs

Distributed across venues in partnership with the Liam Taylor Legacy Foundation, these packs provide emergency first aid tools to respond to serious injuries — a proactive step in violence prevention.

Weapons Detection

ENTEG facilitated the donation of a weapons detector to Essex Police, enhancing security screening capabilities in high-footfall areas.

Purple Flag Coordination

ENTEG plays a central role in maintaining Southend’s Purple Flag accreditation, coordinating assessments, stakeholder input, and evidence of best practice.

Public Consultation

In early 2023, ENTEG ran a public survey to gather feedback from residents, workers, and visitors on their experiences in Southend’s night-time economy. Insights from this consultation continue to inform planning and investment.
