Project Vigilant

Project Vigilant is an initiative focused on identifying and disrupting predatory behaviour within the nighttime economy. Specially trained officers operate in and around the city centre, including plain‑clothed officers who observe behaviour, remain professionally curious about individuals’ intentions, and intervene where necessary. The project also supports intelligence‑gathering by building a database of individuals who are stopped and spoken to during deployments. Deployments take place regularly throughout the year, with several planned in the coming months.
